Designer Spotlight: Camille
Get to know Artistic Blossoms! As part of our blog series, we will be interviewing various members of the AB Team over the course of the year to get insights on their tastes and interests! Be sure to check in on the blog in the following months for more insider details!
For our first Designer Spotlight, we sat down with Camille in the studio to ask her questions about her job and the flower trends of 2016.
What's your job at Artistic Blossoms?
I guess you could say I'm a Flower Child of All Trades – Office Manager, Designer, and Deliverer!
What would you say 2016’s flower is?
Spray roses have been really popular this wedding season. They are a great blossom to add texture to an overall design and they are available in a variety of colors from vivid oranges to pale, peachy pinks.
What season is your favorite for a wedding?
I happen to love Spring ☺ I love the colors of Spring and most of my favorite flowers are in season. Sometimes the weather can be a hit or miss, but when it's a gorgeous Spring day there's truly nothing better!
What’s your favorite wedding trend for 2016?
I’m seeing more organic and loose styles this year versus the tighter compact vibe and lots of peach and coral floral palettes with a variety of foliage greens for added texture. Bouquets have more of a gathered feel now, composed out of a variety of blossoms.
Also, neutral palettes are a trend I like this year, but then again neutrals are never out of style!
What's the best part of your job?
I love seeing everything come together on the day-of. Each event is so different from the next, it all comes together around the client. And since I work with each client through the planning process, it's really cool to see all of the designs and ideas transform from paper to reality.
(Also, who doesn't love being surrounded by pretty flowers all the time!)
